Architectural Planning
The planning phase is a critical element of our project approach.
It lays the foundation for the project. Issues are discussed,
priorities established and the concept confirmed. Our approach
utilizes workshops to explore ideas, exchange information and
confirm our understanding of the project.
The needs, priorities, concerns and goals of our clients are
reflected in each design.

Charrette
Consensus Building Workshops
Derived from a pre-1900 French
architecture education activity, charrette refers to a
creative process akin to visual brainstorming. It is a
collaborative process we use with clients to develop
preliminary design concepts and resolve design issues within
a limited timeframe.
A charrette integrates the aptitudes and interests of a
diverse group of people. We tailor the activity to the
client’s situation with one or more sessions. Larger groups
are divided into sub groups to increase participation. Sub
groups present their work to the full group for
consideration and discussion. |
