Becher Hoppe staff attends WisDOT Seminar
Michael Kowal, Transportation Services Manager and Todd
McDonald, Project Engineer of Becher-Hoppe Associates
recently attended the Wisconsin Department of Transportation
training “How to Work with Indian Tribes: A Historical and
Legal Perspective”, held in Green Bay. The training provided
insight on how Native American tribes view historical
impacts from highway projects and how to efficiently consult
with tribal elders to determine impacts from early on in a
project and work toward a resolution. The training also
provided an introduction to Federal Indian Law and how it
impacts highway construction projects. |
