Davis attends ACC Institute – Airport Planning
Redefined Course
Morgan Davis, EIT, Staff Engineer at
Becher-Hoppe Associates, Inc., a Wausau-based Engineering
and Architectural firm, recently attended the Airport
Planning Redefined Course in Kansas City, Missouri. The
course was jointly sponsored by Airports Council
International, Airport Consultants Council, the Federal
Aviation Administration, and The American Planning
Association - Indiana Chapter.
Airport planning requires a broad set of skills and extends
across the fields of planning, engineer, environmental
science, financial planning, economics, community outreach,
airport operations, and technology. Topics addressed during
the course included: airport property use and revenue
generation, planning for sustainability, facility
flexibility, electronic mapping, and safety risk
assessments.
Completion of this course allows Davis to better understand
airport planning processes and apply appropriate planning
skills to aid clients in developing strategies to address
their near- and long-term needs. |
