2010 Spring Biosolids Symposium
Becher-Hoppe Associates, Inc.’s
Senior Project Manager Kenneth J. Ligman attended the 2010
Spring Biosolids Symposium sponsored by the Wisconsin
Wastewater Operators Association, Central Wastewater
Environment Association, UW-Extension Soil Science and
Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. The goals of the
symposium are to provide information on current issues
related to biosolids and septage management and to be able
to respond proactively to new challenges. Topics included
land application site permits, phosphorus loading management
issues, nutrient management issues and alternate means of
utilizing phosphorus in the biosolids. The symposium is held
each year for municipal officials, plant operators,
contractors and consulting engineers. |
