For the past 15 years, the center of downtown Wausau was an undeveloped city block. The City of Wausau and the community's goal was to keep it an open community space yet transform it into a more pleasing atmosphere. Becher Hoppe helped create an impressive community gathering place in the heart of Downtown Wausau. Services included rendering, design, and preparing cost estimates. Becher Hoppe also assisted in funding applications, bidding, and construction engineering. The unique features of this project include a tensioned fabric canopy over the stage area; in-ground illuminated fountains; and decorative lighting and landscaping.
