City of Wausau, WI
The City of Wausau has two separate locations where sanitary siphon pipelines transport waste from the east side of the Wisconsin River to the west side where it is treated at the Wastewater Treatment Facility. The original siphon pipelines were installed in 1929 and were reaching the end of their intended design life and were no longer up to state codes. Becher Hoppe was contracted by the City of Wausau to provide design engineering services, including alternative analysis and preliminary design through final design, to replace these siphon pipelines.
