Kings Dam located along the Wisconsin River, north of the City of Tomahawk is over 150 years old and provides hydroelectric power generation to the surrounding area. Kings Dam is owned and operated by the Tomahawk Power & Pulp Company and was originally used for making paper pulp.  In addition to hydro-electric generation, Kings Dam impoundment is known as Lake Alice which provides excellent recreational opportunities for local and visiting tourists. Becher Hoppe has assisted Kings Dam with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) compliance, including inspections, hydraulic studies, topographic survey and general dam safety compliance. Becher Hoppes assistance with FERC compliance is ongoing.
